A sense of engagement is a “must” for any sporty sedan, and BMW have built their reputation on offering all their models with this quality front and center. But where the five preceding generations of the M5 offered it in spades, some enthusiasts wanted more. So the M Division listened—imbuing its sixth generation model with driver-focused refinement.

You may already know about the 6 Series Convertible, which offers top-down fun for performance-oriented drivers. You may know all about the 6 Series Gran Coupe, which features the added benefit of four doors. You may not, however, know about the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. Not to worry - that's why we're here.

There are plenty of choices among compact luxury SUVs, but few offer the blend of performance and utility as the impressive 2017 BMW X1. Add in that Bavarian dose of engagement and dynamism that all the brand’s models offer, and you have an enticing prospect. Even though it’s the only SUV in BMW’s lineup with standard front-wheel drive, it’s still a blast.

It may be hard to spot the changes on the 2018 BMW X3, but if you look closely, you’ll see them. More chiseled character lines, a slightly longer wheel base, and LED lighting elements are the most noticeable. But the real updates to the latest X3 can only be experienced behind the wheel.

That the BMW 5 Series is all new for the 2017 model year is old news at this juncture. But many have become concerned about the amount of automated safety tech the new sedan has on tap. As one of the prime examples of the brand’s “Ultimate Driving Machine” tagline, some are worried the 5 Series may not live up to the hype.

The BMW M4—a legend in its own right—has been quite well received in its most recent generation.
