If you’re someone who has been hoping to “go green” with your next vehicle purchase, but have had reservations about the range of some electric vehicles in the market, then we’re got some good news for you; the 2017 BMW i3 gets 114 miles of pure-electric range per charge, so you can put range anxiety to rest for good.

BMW has never been a company to shy away from bold innovation and big concepts, which is why the recently announced BMW i3 Pick-Up Truck concept has piqued the interest of us here at Thompson BMW. While it won’t be available for purchase, the unique i3 vehicle will be adopted as a fast-delivery service car internally at BMW, much like the similarly styled BMW M3 Pick-Up concept from a few years ago.

As sales continue to rise, and electric vehicles become more commonplace, the demand for a more strategically planned infrastructure, to facilitate longer distance EV travel, also grows. BMW first sought to address the issue in June of 2014, with the initial phase of their ChargeNow DC Fast program, which brought about the installation of 100 EVgo charging stations.

As part of its ongoing commitment to the EV segment, BMW announced yesterday an expansion to the original program which will bring about the implementation of 500 additional charging stations by the end of 2018.
